Art and animal advocacy: the artist as activist - Dr Yvette Watt

Welcome to the Animals + Writing Blog, a space for respectful and productive discussion informed and inspired by the Animals + Writing seminar and Life in the Anthropocene, the 5th interdisciplinary Australian Animal Studies Group (AASG) biennial conference co-hosted by AASG and HARN (Human Animal Research Network) at the University of Sydney.

Conference delegates are invited to submit posts of up to 800 words to [email protected]. Non-delegate academics and members of the public are invited to comment. Please be aware that posts may take time to show due to the mediation process and posts deemed inappropriate may be edited or deleted.

We view this space as a unique opportunity for dialogue between
scholars at the forefront of human-animal research, activists on the front lines and people interested in humans, animals and the environment from all walks of life, and we look forward to hearing from you.
